Harbor House Writing Center and Harbor Books & Gifts Fall/Winter Happenings

Since we are one entity under Harbor House Writers LLC, and since we don't yet have a functioning website for HB&G, I'm combining the calendar for the two businesses here.


October 22-30 at the bookstore: Half-Price Halloween Book Sale! All books on the Halloween display table will be half off the price marked. Enjoy a hot beverage (coffee, tea, cocoa or cider) while you browse. And we'll have the candy for the kiddies.







October 29 at the writing center: Ghost Stories: Spooky Halloween Readings, 7-9 p.m.; writers are invited to read (family friendly, please) and the public is invited to attend (ages ten and up, please). The event is free and refreshments will be served.

November 4, 11, 18 at the writing center: NaNoWrite-ins all day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., free coffee, tea, hot cocoa and cider.

November 20 at the writing center: Writers' Fellowship, 6-8 p.m. All are welcome. Free.

November 21-26: CLOSED

November 27 at the bookstore: CYBER MONDAY MADNESS! Buy Local, not online; spend your money where your family lives! All Christmas books will be 20% off the price marked; all used books will be 10% off the price marked. Green Tag Sale: other select specials will be offered. FREE Coffee, Tea, Cocoa and Cider. FREE holiday cookies and entertainment. Local Author Book Signings. Last minute book orders (for delivery by Christmas). FREE Gift wrapping, too!

December 2 at the writing center: How to Publish YOUR Book with CreateSpace for Little or NO Money. Now that NaNoWriMo is over learn how to put your work into book form. Teacher: Gregory E. Zschomler, publisher of 14 books through CreateSpace. Cost: $30

December 18 at the writing center: Writers' Fellowship, 6-8 p.m. All are welcome. Free.

December 22 at the bookstore: LAST CHANCE CHRISTMAS SALE! (gift certificates available, too)

December 23-28: CLOSED
