We are pleased to announce some exciting revisions coming to Harbor House. we're announcing them, but not exactly spilling the beans...yet. 

We CAN say this: We've taken a good, hard look at our business and decided to make changes that will enable us to better connect with a more specific, targeted clientele. Rather than a shotgun approach to the author/writer market at large we will be focusing on a niche market as well as appealing to a broader public.

"How's that?" Hmmm. How do I let you in without giving away too much? 

Well, I've already hinted at our marketing focus--that it will be more specific. Now, that "broader public" thing is another avenue. The two will be separate branches of our business and yet work together symbiotically. Complementary. It's so exciting I'm bursting to tell you, but I'm not going to. Suffice it to say, this is something a lot of us (especially those of us on the Harbor) have been waiting for!

Note that these changes will allow us to hereafter offer our comfy drop-in space (with free wifi) free of charge. That's right, no more daily use fees! Wow! (But we'll still be offering low-priced, high-quality seminars, workshops, classes, discussions and more. And we'll still have free public readings, writers' fellowship meetings, book clubs and more.)

Finally, there's a third area of business we've pretty much neglected up to this point that will certainly be helpful to many.

All this will break June 1, 2017. 

Meanwhile, we'll be getting all of our ducks in a row as we prepare over the next three months, take a week's vacation in mid-April, and then finish the final touches by mid-June (we hope) when we'll do the big reveal. Unfortunately, that means we'll be scaling back temporarily while we focus our energies on making the new us.

One more little hint: The reason we're scaling back for a bit is because the changes will require time and effort to do some remodeling, revamp our website and printed materials, create our new marketing campaign, and a few other surprises.
