The Holiday Halls of Harbor House

As of last night we began decorating Harbor House for the holidays. We should have the interior finished by the weekend when the tree will go up in the front bay window. We also got the exterior lights up today.

What will you see when you come by? More than a dozen nativity scenes for one. Plus nearly 50 nutcrackers in the library and more.

We have hot chocolate (dark and milk), hot pumpkin-spiced cider, cranberry-vanilla wonderland  and gingerbread-spice teas for your enjoyment along with all the other regular choices.

We hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Come by and make us a part of your Christmas and remember our Poetry Workshop with Laura Schaeffer from 1-3 p.m. this Saturday, December 3. Also keep in mind that we are here to help you with your NaNoWriMo project now through Dec. 16 when we will close until Jan. 2, 2017.

A Season of Change at Harbor House

I guess we all know that change is in the air. And at Harbor House we have a few changes of our own.

Firstly, our hours have changed. We are now open from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, Monday through Saturday until further notice. That is in general; we could change our minds (LOL). Please check our Facebook page for up-to-date hours before stopping by.

We will be OPEN SPECIAL NANOWRIMO HOURS Saturday, November 12 for twelve hours straight (from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), as well as Wednesday, November 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 6-10 p.m. for those final moments

Secondly, Teen Tuesdays have bee suspended for the time being due to lack of interest/use.

Thirdly, in case you hadn't heard, we will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving weekend and from December 18, 2016 through January 2, 2017.

Fourthly, We have discontinued our phone service. Please communicate by Facebook message or the email listed at the bottom of the blog.

Finally, we are now requiring advance registration for all classes and workshops. Our next class is "What Publishing Path is Right for YOU?" from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, November 19, cost is $$10. December 3 we are offering a very special, not to be missed POETRY WORKSHOP with Seattle poet Laura Schaeffer from 1 to 3 p.m. for $32.

Coming next year: "The Art and Science of Story Selling" with best-selling author and award-winning international speaker Gideon F. For-mukai on January 7, and "Writing the Mountain Man" with author and renaissance man Andy R. Bunch on January 21. Once again in February we'll be offering a Memoir Writing Workshop. And there's even more to come in March (think Marketing)!
